Privacy Policy

Effective date: 17 July 2026

Ozee Pet Shop (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the online store at ozeepetshop.com. We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and, where relevant, the Australian Consumer Law.

1. What information we collect

Depending on how you use our store, we may collect:

  • Order and account details — name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping addresses, and order history when you place an order or create an account.
  • Payment information — payment is processed by Shopify and its payment partners. We do not store full credit or debit card numbers on our systems.
  • Contact and support communications — messages you send via our contact form, email, or other channels.
  • Device and usage data — IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and similar technical data.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — used for store functionality, preferences, analytics, and advertising (including Meta Pixel where enabled).

2. Why we collect your information

We use personal information to:

  • process and fulfil orders, including shipping and returns;
  • communicate about your orders, enquiries, and (where permitted) marketing;
  • operate, secure, and improve our website and customer experience;
  • comply with legal obligations (for example tax and consumer law); and
  • measure marketing performance, including advertising on Meta platforms where Meta Pixel or similar tools are used.

3. Who we share information with

We may share personal information with service providers who help us run the store, including:

  • Shopify — our ecommerce platform and related services;
  • payment processors — to take and process payments securely;
  • shipping and fulfilment partners — including warehouse and courier providers that deliver your order (we use Australian warehouse dropshipping fulfilment);
  • Meta Platforms — where Meta Pixel or related advertising tools are used to measure and improve ads; and
  • professional advisers or authorities where required by law.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Cookies, analytics and advertising

Our store uses cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the site to function, and others for analytics and advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect site features such as checkout.

Where Meta Pixel or similar tools are active, Meta may receive information about your interactions with our store (for example page views or purchase events) in accordance with Meta’s policies and applicable law.

5. Storage and security

Personal information is stored and processed using Shopify’s systems and our authorised service providers. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

6. Your rights

Subject to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), you may request to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • correct inaccurate or incomplete information; and
  • request deletion of your personal information, where we are not required or permitted to retain it (for example for order, tax, or legal records).

Nothing in this Privacy Policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

7. Overseas disclosure

Some service providers (including Shopify and Meta) may store or process data outside Australia. Where we disclose personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with Australian privacy obligations.

8. Contact us

To make a privacy enquiry, access or correction request, or complaint, please contact us via our Contact page or email us using the contact details on our website. We will respond as soon as reasonably practicable.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
